Containers for Change - Winter charity

We are proud to announce we now have a formal charity program for the resort, which we have linked with our Containers for Change scheme. Every season we’ll pick a different charity (nominated by our team) and all the money raised from Containers for Change will be donated PLUS the Timothee will match whatever is raised!

This past winter we have been busy collecting cans, bottles and containers from our guest rooms to raise money for Breast Cancer Care WA. This is a charity that is incredibly close to many of our team members hearts, affecting mothers, aunts, daughters and friends.

Founded in 2000, BCCWA provide specialist support to men and women affect by breast cancer including their partners and families for absolutely no charge to them. This means access to surgery after care, counselling, financial support, nurse support and more all completely free.

More than 1,800 families access care through BCCWA each year and they receive no government funding, relying solely on donations. A $50 donation can help put fuel in someone’s car to help them get to appointments, $80 can pay for a cleaner after someone has a mastectomy and $200 could stock someone’s fridge for a week.

Being able to support a cause to meaningful to many of our team members was definitely a highlight of our winter. We can’t wait to share what charity we have chosen for Spring and how much we have raised for them!
