Convergence by Bridget Seaton - Exhibition at Busselton Cultural Precinct
Convergence is a solo exhibition of paintings and monotype prints depicting Bridget Seaton’s intimate experiences of the South West’s woodlands, coastal habitats, wetlands and forests.
Set in Busselton’s Old Courthouse which operated as a judiciary, government administration centre and land agency - servicing the settlement's need for law and order, customs and telecommunications.
Today, these beautifully restored heritage-listed buildings serve as a hub for art lovers and history buffs.
Opening event: 11am on 7 March
Artist talk: 2pm on 14 March ~ Bridget offers an insight into how her first hand observations in the bush assist her to work from memory in the studio. A chance to see her sketchbooks and learn about her processes of mark making and layering.
Workshop demonstration: Monotype Printmaking - Textures of the Landscape ~ 9am - 12.15pm on 15 March in the Fodder Room
