As comedian, and self-confessed design nerd, Tim Ross writes (when it comes to the idea of going to a motel) "“Does it have a pool, Dad?” someone asks the familiar and all-important question. The answer is in the affirmative. A cheer goes up as you pull into the motel.” We knew we had to get the heart of the resort right. But we felt it was an important part of the building's character. So we worked with the brick and instead painted roof tiles, introduced bright orange doors and coloured outdoor furniture, tidied up walkways, architraves, windows and the roads and parking bays. We also painted room numbers on car bays so you arrive with a designated parking spot out the front of your room. The show sold out more than 4 weeks in advance with guests having the option to experience the one of Busselton’s original motel in full with the “Weekend at The Timothee Package” that included 2 nights accommodation, pre-show dinner at the Curry Port and breakfast delivered to your room’s original 80’s breakfast hatch. We are so honoured to be chosen to host a show so close to our hearts at The Timothee and to share it with so many other people.
